Instructions to authors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Me\u0111unarodna politika <\/strong>is a quarterly journal published in April, September, and December each year. Submission deadlines are: For the first issue \u2013 February 15, for the second issue \u2013 May 15, for the third issue \u2013 August 15. The journal publishes articles in Serbian and English. The journal accepts peer-reviewed original research articles, review articles, and book reviews in the fields of international relations, foreign policy, international public law, and international economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Original Research Article: Should present research results with a clear contribution to the expansion or deepening of existing knowledge. It must include: research context and aim; clear explanation of the theoretical background (literature review); hypothesis or research question; applied methods; presentation and explanation of results; and a conclusion outlining main findings and answering the hypothesis or research question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Review Article: Offers a comprehensive summary of research on a specific topic or current state of the field, outlining areas of agreement and ongoing debates. It identifies knowledge gaps and key unanswered research questions and proposes future research directions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Book Review: Provides a systematic description and\/or critical analysis of the quality and importance of a book, edited volume, or textbook. It should include: a general description of the topic\/problem, summary of the book\u2019s main argument, author background, content overview, strengths and weaknesses, and the reviewer’s opinion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I – Article Formatting Guidelines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Articles must be between 5,000 and 8,000 words.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Write in Word, using Latin script, Times New Roman, size 12, page numbers bottom right.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Use Justified alignment, Spacing After: 6pt, Line spacing: Single.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Abstract: Must present the research question, key hypotheses, context, and conclusions. Max 200 words, followed by up to 10 keywords.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Italicize Latin, Ancient Greek, and other non-English expressions (e.g., status quo<\/em>, a priori<\/em>, de facto<\/em>, acquis communautaire<\/em>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Use full names, not initials. Foreign names should be transcribed into Serbian, with the original in brackets at first mention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Sources should be cited using the format: \u201cauthor year, page,\u201d based on the Chicago Manual of Style<\/em>, 18th edition, and adapted to the needs of the journal (web link: https:\/\/www.chicagomanualofstyle.org\/tools_citationguide\/citation-guide-2.html).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Sources used should be cited within the text, at the end of the sentence before the period, and should include the following elements: author’s name, year of publication, and page number. When the author’s name is mentioned in the sentence, it does not need to be repeated at the end of the sentence, but the year and page number must still be included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    II – Instructions for Writing Book and Conference Reviews<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Book and conference reviews must not exceed 1,200 words (8,800 characters including spaces). Use Latin script, Times New Roman, font size 12, with page numbers in the bottom right corner. Paragraphs should be formatted with Justified alignment, Spacing After: 6pt, and Single line spacing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. At the beginning of the review, provide the title (this is not the book or conference title, but the title given by the review author), followed by the bibliographic details of the book in accordance with previously specified rules, or for conferences, include the name of the conference, location, and date of the event.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Book and conference reviews must include sources and full references in the bibliography (a minimum of 5), formatted in accordance with the previously outlined citation guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      III \u2013 Instructions for Manuscript Submission<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      1. Confirm the submission of the manuscript.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Complete the required registration on the journal\u2019s website by entering email and username, and verifying the confirmation email sent by the journal. After that, log into the website and set your account password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Fill out the required sections, including the corresponding author\u2019s contact details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Prepare two Word documents: The first document should include the title, authors\u2019 names, academic titles, institutional affiliation and location, and the email addresses and ORCID ID of all authors. The second document should contain the title, abstract (in both Serbian and English), keywords, and the manuscript text \u2014 without the authors\u2019 names.
