Open Access Policy

International Politics is available in accordance with the principles of open access. It is published in both paper and digital form. Articles can be downloaded free of charge from the site and further distributed for academic and other purposes. The journal is guided by the Budapest Declaration on Open Access, which states:

Under “open access” [peer-reviewed scientific literature], it is understood as its free availability on the public Internet, which allows any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or direct via a link to the full text of the article, sign for the purposes of indexing, forward in the form of data to software, and use it for any lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical obstacles other than those that are inseparable from internet access itself. The only restriction on reproduction and distribution, and the sole purpose of copyright in this domain, should be to give authors control over the integrity of their work and the right to be properly recognized and cited.

The journal provides free access to all its articles without subscriptions or any associated costs. The content of the journal is published without delay (without the so-called embargo period), and materials can be used without asking for special permission provided that the reference to the original document is cited.
